MIDDLE SCHOOL (VII – VIII)

The Middle School is committed to providing top quality education for Grade 7 and 8. We have high expectations from all our students and place great value on the concepts in our motto “TRUTH ALWAYS, KNOWLEDGE FOREVER.” The approach to classroom instruction is systematic with clear goals and objectives, so that students recognize and value cultural differences, maintain a positive classroom climate, and strive to foster an optimistic home/school relationship. The School believes that all students can learn and welcomes the challenge to help them to achieve at the highest levels.

The Middle School is dedicated to offer a variety of traditional Middle School Courses in math, language arts, science and social studies. Students are also encouraged to participate in the numerous clubs, sports and after school activities. The Middle School model for grades seven and eight, allows students to wean off successfully from the elementary school curriculum. This ensures that their transition is more smooth and effective.

Students engage in a variety of activities to support the development of effective presentation skills.  From small seminar-style classes, to projects that are presented to a panel of teachers, parents and students, the students are consistently required to present what they have learned in an organized, effective manner.

Physical Education is an important aspect of our curriculum and youngsters have an opportunity to take part in various extra curricular activities before and after school. Music offers them many opportunities to develop vocal and instrumental talents and to display the same at various school based concerts.

The Middle School Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) program allows many issues to be explored in a sensitive manner. These issues vary from basic etiquettes to various personality development programs.
A child may be identified as having Special Educational Needs through assessment, screening or by taking account of parental comments.
